Dr. Sarkar is a Board-certified Cardiologist and Assistant Professor of Cardiology at the Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell, dedicated to providing comprehensive cardiovascular care. His expertise spans a wide range of areas including cardiac imaging and stress testing, preventative cardiology and cardiometabolic disease, lipid disorders, hypertension, coronary artery disease, congestive heart failure, arrythmia and structural heart disease. In addition to seeing patients in his offices in Queens, he provides hospital consultation at Long Island Jewish Hospital at Forest Hills and Lake Success. He completed his medical education and residency training in Internal Medicine at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia, after which he pursued specialization in cardiology, eventually completing his fellowship at Northshore University Hospital in Manhasset. As an Assistant Professor, he is actively involved in educating future generations of doctors and research. He is a strong advocate for patient education and whole-person approach to health incorporating nutrition counseling and exercise prescription into personalized medical treatment plans.
